Exactly. Dudes are not even worth messing up a friendship.

Yeah, I agree. It could cause bad blood between you and your friend. He could be the type of guy to constantly compare you to your friend or worst yet talk bad about her. sooner or later you will have to choose between the friend and him.
I think that is up to your friend to decide. I personally think that a real friend would NOT date their friend’s ex-boyfriend.
